Job Position: Delivery Driver
Location: LAWRENCE, KS 66049
Pay Rate: $24.72/hr
Shift: 2nd
Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities
– Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
– Load and unload packages, ensuring accurate delivery to customers.
– Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled timeframes.
– Verify delivery information, including addresses and recipient details.
– Maintain communication with dispatch to report delivery status or any issues encountered.
– Handle and document customer interactions, such as obtaining signatures for deliveries.
– Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
– Adhere to traffic laws and company safety protocols during deliveries.
– Assist with warehouse duties, such as sorting and organizing packages, when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
– Class A CDL required.
– Clean driving record with no major violations.
– Familiarity with GPS devices and route planning tools.
– Strong time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
– Physical ability to lift and carry packages, often up to a specified weight limit.
– Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
– Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends or holidays if needed.
– Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns is a plus.
