Job Position: Company Foreman (Fabrication & Erection)

Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Company Foreman to oversee daily shop and field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role is responsible for leading crews, coordinating workflow, and maintaining productivity across all active projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision

Oversee daily operations and ensure workflow efficiency

Supervise shop employee productivity
-
Coordinate shop employee daily tasks for projects.

Handle employee concerns and resolve conflicts – keep positive work environment. Always acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Safety
-
Enforce all company safety policies.
-
Have regular safety meetings to remind employees of PPE compliance. Indicate to management when any PPE supplies are running low.

Inspect all work areas, tools, and equipment to mitigate hazards.

Investigate & report any workplace incidents.
Project & Workflow Management
-
Review all project drawings, understanding entire scope of each project. Become familiar with project specifications and offer practical advice pertaining to project schedule, materials required, etc.

Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet production deadlines.

Notify Operations manager promptly of inconsistencies or issues in drawings.

Perform work to assist crew regularly as needed.
Quality Control
-
Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.

Ensure welding, cutting, fabrication processes meet industry standards

Address defects or inconsistencies in work output.

Provide quality standards and reject improper installation.
Inventory & Materials Management

Monitor stock levels of metal material. Notify Alex when SCH 40 pipe material in running low in 4” and 6” diameters.

Maintain awareness of materials for all projects.

Conducts materials checks daily, ensuring inventory is able to accommodate project or project phase to completion.

Monitor stock levels of all other materials and tools. Conduct full shop check weekly.

Blades – must always have at least one backup for every saw

Paint Supply

PPE material

Material for existing projects.

Track all material usage, minimizing waste.
Communication & Coordination

Serve as main point of contact between shop employees and management.

Track and report positive or poor employee performance to operations manager.

Communicate job expectations, updates, and changes clearly to the team/
Other Requirements

Materials check with Operations manager at the start of every project.
-
Solely check project materials daily and notify Operation Manager when any materials are running low as soon as possible.

Arrive at least 20 minutes early to open shop daily. Be last to leave at end of day, ensuring all tools have been replaced to designated spaces, paint materials thoroughly cleaned, and trash emptied Wednesdays for pickup Thursday morning.

In charge of fueling all machines with gas card provided. Receipts must be submitted to management with every transaction.

Maintain neat and orderly job site, foreman office, and shop station.

Determine and recommend changes in methods, schedules, procedures, and improvements where practical on the project.
