Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep, functionality, and safety of the apartment community. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of living for our residents by performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with property improvements. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.

• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity of equipment and systems within the apartment complex.

• Respond promptly to resident service requests and address emergency maintenance situations.

• Inspect and troubleshoot issues to determine the best course of action for repair.

• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and service requests.

• Collaborate with property management and vendors to coordinate repairs and improvements.

• Ensure all common areas, amenities, and building exteriors are clean, safe, and functional.

• Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, and report any shortages or needs.

• Comply with all safety protocols and ensure adherence to building codes and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or related field preferred.

• Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a similar role (experience in residential property maintenance is a plus).

• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general repairs.

• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with residents and team members professionally.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Flexibility to work on-call hours for emergency situations.

• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor as required.
