Job Position: Mold Technician
Location: LAWRENCE, KS 66049
Pay Rate: $26.75/hr
Shift: 2nd
Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities
– Set up and operate injection molding machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications.
– Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of molds, equipment, and workstations.
– Conduct mold changes, including installing and removing molds, ensuring proper alignment and securing them in place.
– Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products for quality, ensuring adherence to production standards.
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to molding processes, machinery, or product quality.
– Maintain accurate production records, including cycle times, material usage, and product counts.
– Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
– Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
– Proficiency in operating and maintaining injection molding machines and related tools.
– Familiarity with mold setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
– Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
– Basic understanding of safety procedures and quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
– Physical ability to lift and move heavy molds and equipment as required.
– Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
