Pinnacle’s Leadership Team

Tim Williams

Managing Director

While most children dream of being superstar athletes, doctors or astronauts, Pinnacle’s Managing Director, Tim Williams, knew he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. And what was his father’s profession?  He built one of the largest and most successful staffing firms in the country and was in the industry for 40 years.

In those days, many Executive and Contract Recruiters would record their calls and interviews on cassette tape. Tim remembers being hooked on the industry when listening to those calls.

“I would sometimes sneak into his room, get some of the tapes and go back and play them on a Fisher Price tape recorder,” Tim said.  “I was hooked from that time forward.  Though I was too young to fully understand, I KNEW my dad was impacting lives for the better.  Ever since then, I eat, sleep, and breathe this business.”

Early in his career, he joined his father’s staffing firm where he worked with Pinnacle co-owner, Brad Tyler.  Now, after more than 25 years in the staffing industry, Tim is helping lead a staffing firm that’s built its way onto the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies.

“After meeting with (the owners), it was clear to me what I wanted to do,” Tim said.  “I attribute that to one word, GROWTH!!  I have made a career out of scaling staffing firms and helping them growth both organically and by merger/acquisition.  After learning of the success Pinnacle has already had, coupled with their growth plans, I knew I wanted to be part of that.”

Tim enjoys the staffing industry because no day is the same and regularly informs client companies that the most expensive employee is the one that isn’t there.

“Having all your positions filled will pay you back 10-fold what you will ever pay us,” he said.

Keri Hall

Controller

Keri Hall brings more than 25 years of accounting and finance experience to Pinnacle, with a career spanning a variety of industries and organizations at different stages of growth. As Controller, she oversees Pinnacle’s accounting and financial reporting functions and works to ensure the company’s financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. Throughout her career, Keri has developed a reputation for bringing clarity and structure to complex financial environments. She enjoys understanding how a business works beyond the numbers and building accounting processes that provide leadership with reliable information to support the business. Keri holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounting and has extensive experience in financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, process improvement and supporting growing organizations.

Outside of work, Keri enjoys spending time with her family, painting and other creative projects, and is an unapologetic cat person. She has two adult children and three cats who are reasonably certain they are in charge of the household.

Tony Johnson

Director of Marketing

Tony spent much of the first two decades of his career in the industrial sector, working in a small marketing department for a manufacturing company in the wastewater industry.

Since joining Pinnacle late in 2022, Tony has taken over all marketing efforts and enjoys the variety of work he sees every day, including designing and maintaining Pinnacle’s websites, social media platforms, videos, print projects and the company’s employee newsletter.

Tony also works closely with sales and recruiting teams, ensuring that the messaging put forth by each team is professional and consistent, and has helped expand the company’s recruiting efforts beyond typical job boards.

Ruben Mata

Director of Payroll

Everyone loves the man with the money. At Pinnacle, that man is Ruben Mata, who is in his second decade in the staffing industry.  Outside of a brief stint at Sprint, Ruben has worked with co-owners Brad Tyler and Moses Muro since 2000, and has been a key member of the Pinnacle team since day one. Hired as the Olathe office’s first Branch Manager, his talents and the company’s growth quickly directed him into his current role of Payroll Manager, where he is responsible for paying more than 1,000 Pinnacle employees every week.

When he’s not crunching the numbers for Pinnacle employees across the country, he is a proud husband and father to three children and two cats. He enjoys play time with his youngest and relaxes by streaming a good movie.

Matt Reese

Director of Risk Management

Matt believes his business cards should read CFIO Officer – “Chief Figure it Out Officer.“ He has been working in the staffing industry since 2006 and has worked in nearly every facet of the industry. He now finds himself in charge of Pinnacle’s Safety Program.  He meets this challenge head on, like he has all the others he’s encountered over the past two decades.

Matt thrives on the ups and downs and constant changes to the landscape that the staffing industry brings.  Throughout all these peaks and valleys, Matt has remained a constant at Pinnacle, being a part of this great team since day one.  His loyalty, dedication, work ethic, along with his passion, have been staples he brings every day to not only Pinnacle but his number one priority, his family.

His wife and four children keep him very busy with countless games and practices, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Cesar Sanchez

Director of National Accounts (Hospitality)

Cesar Sanchez has more than 25 years of leadership experience with roles in hospitality operations and large-scale food distribution.  Prior to coming to Pinnacle, Cesar worked in South Florida for Starwood Hotels at different properties before transferring to the Midwest where he joined different hospitality management companies such as TPG Hospitality and JQH Hotels. He has also worked for different brands such as IHG, Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, Westin & Sheraton. At Sysco, he held a leadership position where he managed and controlled sales and operations of 400+ restaurants.

Cesar joined the Pinnacle Groups family in 2020 and has quickly built a reputation as an expert in the hospitality staffing arena here in Kansas City. His next challenge is to expand Pinnacle’s reach throughout the U.S.

Married for over 30 years and with 2 wonderful kids, Cesar and his wife Jenny enjoy traveling to exotic destinations all around the world and enjoy trying new restaurants.

Jenny Wright

Director of Operations and Field Support

Jenny Wright has built her career around one simple idea: when people have the right tools, clear expectations, and strong support, they can do great work.

As Pinnacle’s Director of Operations & Field Support, Jenny helps turn that idea into action across the organization. Her role touches everything from training and compliance to systems, processes, operational consistency, and field support.

Jenny’s path in staffing has given her experience in recruiting, leadership, operations, technology implementation, and team development. Over time, she found herself especially drawn to the behind-the-scenes work that helps an organization run more smoothly.

“I’ve always enjoyed finding ways to make things easier, clearer, and more consistent,” Jenny said. “If there’s a process that can be improved or a team that needs better support, that’s the kind of work I naturally gravitate toward.”

At Pinnacle, Jenny has played a key role in building and refining operational processes, developing training resources, supporting compliance initiatives, and helping lead major technology changes across the company. She has also become a go-to resource for field teams when questions, challenges, or new initiatives arise.
