Olathe, KS – Pinnacle Staffing Group, a division of The Pinnacle Groups, a leader in the staffing, payroll and human resources industries, celebrated “Pinnacle Week” in late January and early February at the Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City. Pinnacle Week brings together all internal employees from each branch, along with one guest, to discuss staffing industry trends, the state of the company, future endeavors, and have a lot of fun along the way.
As friends from Arizona, Colorado and Florida began to arrive on Thursday night, January 30th, every member of the Pinnacle Leadership Team welcomed them with treat bags, company gear, sandwiches and lots of laughs.
Friday, each employee was treated to a hearty breakfast before starting the day with a fun activity of “Two Truths and a Lie”. Then, as employee safety is a top priority at Pinnacle, the team heard from Kina Hart, an advocate for workplace safety. Both Kina and her son lost limbs as a result of workplace accidents, and she now tours the country with her message “It’s your safety, don’t give it away.”
After lunch, the company welcomed Jonathan Twidwell and David Parkhurst from Cornerstone Companies who discussed the latest employee insurance benefits, including free telehealth benefits for every employee, even if they are not signed up for health insurance benefits through Pinnacle. Then, in the company’s latest example of why it’s a premier employer, Managing Director Tim Williams announced that employees were gaining one extra holiday (Christmas Eve), as well as one extra week of PTO in 2025.
Friday night, all employees and their guests gathered for a fun happy hour with lots of food, drinks, dancing and entertainment from magician Tom Burgoon.
Most of Saturday was a free day where employees and guests could relax, try their luck in the casino or explore Kansas City. Saturday night, everyone gathered again for a giant party. More food and drinks flowed, and the dance floor rocked with sounds from the Accidental Moguls. Throughout the night, prizes were randomly drawn for both employees and their guests. Winners took home everything from $100 gift cards to a PlayStation 5 and Apple Watch. The Grand Prize winner chose a $5,000 cash prize!
Also on Saturday night, Pinnacle recognized 9 different employees with awards. The winners were:

- Director(s) of the Year – Matt Reese (Olathe) and Cesar Sanchez (Mission, KS / Hospitality)
- (Branch) Manager of the Year – Jenny Wright (Denver)
- Outstanding Achievement(s) in Recruiting – Emily Hunt (Phoenix) and Mark Solis (Olathe)
- Business Development Manager of the Year – Sarah Falsetto (Phoenix)
- Branch of the Year – Mission, KS (Hospitality)
Now an annual event, plans are already underway for Pinnacle Week 2026.
